What is The Captain Tom 100?  This is a fundraiser organised by the London Marathon and the family of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore, to mark what would have been his 101st birthday!   They are inviting people to take part in The Captain Tom 100 by coming up with challenges based on the number 100 to raise funds either for the Captain Tom Foundation, or for smaller charities like our own to help us survive the crisis, and which will take place over the Early May Bank Holiday Weekend - 30 April - 3 May 21.

We would love you to join us to celebrate Sir Tom's remarkable efforts and undertake a fundraising challenge for KPC!

KPC is a grass roots charity based in Pyle, supporting young people from across Bridgend County with activities, support, advice and guidance - making sure they are listened to and their well-being and mental health is supported, so that they have the best chances in life and become the best person they can be.

Fundraisers are encouraged to take part however they want - which can be anything at all - inside or out - (as long as in lines with Government social distancing guidelines) - some fun suggestions could be:

  • Walking, running or cycling 100 miles as a team
  • Running 100 metres
  • Scoring 100 goals
  • Baking 100 cakes for the community or friends
  • Hopping 100 laps of your garden or the local park
  • Building 100 sandcastles
  • Writing a 100 word peom
  • Flipping 100 pancakes

Participants can get started by donating whatever they can afford and then encouraging their friends and families to take part or support them.  They will also be invited to share photos/challenges with us so we can share them on social media, as well as using #CaptainTom100 on their posts

If you can support us - individually - or as part of a family, work place, friendship group, of club - that would be absolutely amazing and mean a huge amount to us here at KPC and the young people we support, helping us sustain our charity for when we can get back to more normal times:)
